Sugar Reset Cleanse: What Cleanse Claims Mean on Supplement Pages
A cleanse claim says a product clears something from the body. The body already has a liver, kidneys and gut that do that work, and no cleanse has been shown to improve on it. SugarReset's label makes no cleanse claim. If a page calls the drops a cleanse, that is the page's word and not the label's.

What is a cleanse claim?
A promise that a product will flush out toxins or sugar.
The word toxin is rarely defined, and the claim is rarely measured. The NIH says supplements have not been shown to replace care and that evidence for most is limited (NCCIH, Diabetes and Dietary Supplements). The FTC treats claims without proof as deceptive (FTC, Health Products Compliance Guidance). Nothing on the SugarReset bottle uses the word.
A cleanse is a marketing frame, not a medical process.
What do the drops actually list?
Chromium, a 22-name blend, sweeteners and preservatives.
| Word on a page | On the SugarReset label? |
|---|---|
| Cleanse | No |
| Detox | No |
| Flush | No |
| Metabolic balance | Yes, with an asterisk and disclaimer |
| Diuretic or laxative | Not stated |
Some ingredients, such as caffeine, can affect fluid balance or digestion in some people, which a page may spin as cleansing.
What are the risks of cleanse thinking?
Skipped food, extra caffeine and ignored medicines.
Some cleanses ask you to eat very little. For a person on insulin or glucose-lowering pills, that can cause low glucose. Others use laxatives that can upset fluid and salts. Guarana and green tea add caffeine, and FDA says up to 400 mg a day is not generally linked to harm in healthy adults (FDA, Spilling the Beans).
If a plan tells you to pause a medicine, close the page and call your prescriber.
What is a sensible alternative?
Drink water, eat regular meals and sleep.
Those habits support the organs that already do the cleaning. See the everyday habits guide.

See packsHow would you tell if a product was harming you?
Stop and call for advice if you feel unwell after any new product.
Warning signs include a racing heart, jitters, severe stomach pain, dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, a rash or swelling. Yellow skin or dark urine can point to a liver problem, and the NIH notes liver injury has been linked to concentrated green tea extract (NIH LiverTox, Green Tea). Severe symptoms need emergency care, so call 911.
What does the SugarReset label say?
The label shows a 60 ml dropper bottle, 0.7 mcg of chromium and a 200 mg blend of 22 names with no amount for each name; it names no condition.
| Item | As printed |
|---|---|
| Form and size | Liquid drops, 2 fl oz (60 ml); serving size 1 ml, 60 servings |
| Chromium | 0.7 mcg (as chromium picolinate), 2% DV |
| Proprietary blend | 200 mg for 22 names; no amount printed for any one name |
| Directions | Shake well; take 1 or 2 droppers full daily; place in mouth and swallow |
| Caution | Pregnant or nursing mothers, children under 18 and people with a known medical condition should consult a physician |
What is the line to draw?
A label is evidence of what a maker says, and a cleanse promise is not on this label.
Ask the seller to point to the line that says cleanse.
